How to think more strategically about Instagram

In the first lesson we look at why Instagram is such an important marketing tool for designers and architects. We talk about how to transform your account in to a strategic marketing tool that will attract your ideal clients and bring you a steady stream of warm leads. We will look at mistakes you are probably making on Instagram at the moment and go over a quick algorithm overview so you understand how Instagram works.

Lesson 2: 

How to attract the right people to your page

In Lesson 2 we look at who you are creating your Instagram feed for (hint: it's your potential paying clients!) and you will learn how to identify the characteristics of this person and what they are looking for information about. We will also spend time fixing up your Instagram Profile and Bio so that it appeals to your ideal clients and helps them understand exactly what you can do to help them.

  • have identified who your Instagram account is for and what sort of content they want and need.
  • have updated your bio and profile area to ensure you areattracting the right people and maximising the chances of them following you.
Lesson 3: 

How to put together your strategy and content

In Lesson 3 we look at creating your Instagram strategy. You will start by identifying the aesthetic that you want your Instagram feed to have and we will look at the different content options that exist for Instagram.

You will learn how to adapt the Strategy Template and Post Prompt bonuses (that come with the course) to suit your business and we will go over some tips for scheduling your content. Finally, you will learn how to correctly share other people's content and how to write helpful and engaging captions that appeal to your potential clients.

How to get found

In Lesson 4 we look at how to get discovered on Instagram so you can start to grow your following. In the lesson we look at using tags and mentions to help others find you, how to use hashtags strategically, how to use location sharing as well as how to use calls to action to encourage people to take action on your account. We also look at how to engage on other people's accounts as well as some ideas for how to convert your followers in to clients.

  • know the basics of how to use hashtags in a strategic way that helps your account grow.

Lesson 5: 

How to track your progress

In Lesson 5 we start by looking at an overview of what numbers you should be looking at on your Instagram account and how to track your progress. We then look at how you might adjust your strategy in response to what the numbers are saying so your page continues to improve over time.

Lesson 6: 

Other features and more advanced ways to use Instagram

I also share a quick overview about some ways you can make money from your Instagram account - such as via paid advertising, partnering with other accounts or promoting products on your own account.

Dr Clare Le Roy

Hi, I'm Clare! 

 

I'm a Mum of 3 boys, interior designer, educator and founder of The Little Design Corner. 

My projects have been featured in many of Australia's top interior publications and I have received a number of awards for my designs. 

I have a PhD in business but left the corporate world nearly 8 years ago to pursue my dreams of starting my own interior design business. And in that time I've gone from working for free for a few friends to creating a seven figure business that now makes money while I sleep. 

In the last year I have ceased working as a designer to focus my efforts on creating online courses and workshops that help other designers, decorators and architects create thriving businesses that they love to work in (and that make money for them as well!).
